Bridge Officially Closed for While Repairs Underway

April 21, 2025 (Updated September 11, 2025)

As of April 21st, 2025, the Menesetung bridge is closed to all traffic until November. Those following the G2G Rail Trail may plan detours on the trail’s interactive map, available here. While on the trail itself, people may follow the blue arrow markers.

Meanwhile, those who wish to access the trail between the Tiger Dunlop tomb and the bridge may do so via the parking areas at River Ridge or Saltford. Those parking areas are marked on the map in the accompanying image, and a PDF of that map is available for viewing, downloading, and printing here.

We want to thank everyone for their patience and support. We are getting closer to our goal to be able to get all concrete work done and avoid another closure. To help us get this work done, please consider clicking the button below to make a donation.

Bridge Closed for Repairs from April to November 2025

March 19, 2025 (Updated September 11, 2025)

As part of our regular bridge evaluation and maintenance, we will close the bridge from April to November 2025. During this time, we will restore the the tops of its concrete piers, which support the bridge’s steel beams. The Association is currently working to secure enough funds to complete the entire project so that the bridge is closed over a single summer rather than two. To support this effort, please consider donating here. For further maintenance details, click here.
